Strategic, well executed marketing planning

In the IT industry, the importance of an excellent marketing strategy is sometimes understated. Some (technically oriented) organizations market their product and solutions using positioning statements and messaging that is too technical.

The results will be that the Decision Making Unit of end-users does not understand why the purchase of a certain solution would actually improve the top or bottom line of their operation. Some (sales oriented) organizations believe that a great sales team does not need sales collateral, demonstrations and ROI calculators.

Some (operations oriented) organizations are willing to invest in marketing programs; however this is quite often tactically driven, not based upon a strategic decision. On the other hand, there are multiple great examples in the IT industry that prove the importance of a strategic, well executed marketing planning. Ever heard of Apple, Microsoft and Siebel?
Some examples

  1. We’ll review and advise on your market positioning. Is it clear to your target audiences what the value add of your solutions is?
  2. We’ll work with your marketing team building a detailed marketing plan and measurements and can coach your team on the execution of these plans.
  3. IntroMediates can assist in the actual execution, for example in European countries where you don’t have a local presence yet.
  4. IntroMediates can arrange for lunch- or dinner sessions whereby we’ll invite a random group of potential end-users to test your messaging, positioning and value add.
