The current economic situation also offers opportunities.

The 'farm is born'! After a long search we have found a very attractive new location for our office. We will take our residence in a beautiful, authentic and originally restored farmhouse in the middle of Huizen (NH) The Netherlands. This as a result of the expansion of our team and our partnerships.

With the accession of Marcel Leeflang and Roeland Weits as IntroMediates Associates we have in recent months reinforced the team with the knowledge of two renowned professionals.

Marcel Leeflang (1965) - Associate Partner - brings more than 14 years sales and sales management experience with both large and start-up technology companies, including SAP, Q-go, NBI and Business Objects. Marcel is an entrepreneurial sales and sales management professional with a proven track record of achievement and success in particular the promotion of sales of software and service activities. Marcel's focus is to build new business and building strong relationships with external business partners.

Roeland Weits (1959) - Associate Partner - Roeland is a result-oriented manager with over 20 years of professional experience in the financial services market in the Benelux. He specializes in the design and implementation of cost-efficiency programs and achievement organizational change. Roeland has extensive experience in establishing and managing strategic sourcing processes for ICT, Facility Services / Operations, HRM / Marketing & Communications spend categories; The implementation of procurement strategies and introducing new developments such as sustainable procurement and negotiation in cross-border procurement. Roeland knows how to bridge differences and to bind people.

De "Do's and Don'ts" van Performance Management

In de huidige economische recessie is een online verkoop kanaal één van de weinige sprankjes hoop voor de detailhandel. De online winkel is een belangrijk marketingmechanisme,een extra kanaal om je klanten te bedienen en over het algemeen kostenefficiënt. De klant vindt het fijn om even te kijken wat het gewenste product kost en of het voorradig is in de vestiging in de buurt. Een andere klant wil een stap verder, naast kijken op de website wil hij juist het product kunnen bestellen en thuis laten afleveren. Toch is dit makkelijker gezegd dan gedaan. Het blijkt dat zelfs voor marktleiders dit simpele proces in veel gevallen gewoon niet werkt. Of misschien wel juist bij marktleiders, omdat ze het zich (nog) kunnen veroorloven om het belang van hun online kanaal structureel te onderschatten. Maar ze laten hierdoor wel opportunities liggen.

The Best BI Advice

Make sure the KPIs at the strategic level are in line with the KPIs on tactical and operational level. Also make sure that the organization is consciously handling and managing these KPI’s; from an employee on the workfloor up and down the pyramid of performance management.

Create performance management with a clear distinction between 'normal' BI (tactical / strategic level) and operational BI. BI has a specific set of technical / functional requirements that partly are different for operational BI; also the target audience is different. Use best of breed "technology, reasoning from the business priorities; which is the biggest pain or opportunity, and then select the best technology that helps the business.

You do not stare blindly at the "dashboard beauty contest ', ensure that your application consists of an efficient architecture that simply does what it should do.

Optional:
Do not use data quality issues as an argument for doing nothing, just use BI for insight into data quality issues and then focus on the remedy.
